Marketing 2 is the second course of a two course Introduction to Marketing designed to provide students with a sound grounding in the field of marketing. Emphasis is placed on the formulation of integrated marketing strategies that play a role in achieving organizational objectives. The course is divided into four segments: price strategy and management; distribution management; marketing communications; and emerging directions in marketing. The first three segments of Marketing 2 provides coverage of the remaining components of the marketing mix that was introduced in Marketing 1.

The course is divided into four segments: marketing process and marketing environments; marketing planning and information collection processes; buyer behaviour and targeting strategies; and marketing mix (two components of the mix are discussed: product and price).
Project management practitioners need to understand the established industry norms, methods, and practices for managing all stages of the project life cycle and its related processes. Students are introduced to the fundamental principles of project management, such as project strategy, selection, scheduling, risk management, quality assurance, performance measurement, audit and closure. By participating in discussions, analyzing readings, and conducting preliminary research, students acquire a working understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).This course contains mandatory group work. In this course, you will examine the basis for behaviour and gain an understanding of why people think and act as they do. Topics include the scientific process of research, the human brain and the nervous system, sensation and perception, learning, memory and personality.
Personality psychology is a branch of psychology that defines what personality is and how it influences our behaviour and actions. This course will seek to understand how personality is developed. Through an examination of current research and theories, the course will explore patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviour that make a person unique. Personality assessment and intelligence testing will be explored.
The following topics will be discussed: Introduction to Statistics; Introduction to Minitab; Visual Description of Univariate Data: Statistical Description of Univariate Data; Visual Description of Bivariate Data; Statistical Description of Bivariate Data: Regression and Correlation; Probability Basic Concepts; Discrete Probability Distributions; Continuous Probability Distributions; Sampling Distributions; Confidence Intervals and Hypothesis Testing for one mean and one proportion, Chi-Square Analysis, Regression Analysis, and Statistical process Control. Computer Software Requirements: Students will have the option of using Minitab, StatCrunch, or Excel to complete some of their assignments. There will be a fee for students wishing to use Minitab. There are assignments in MyStatLab that all students have to complete. The MyStatLab should be purchased as a bundle with the text. StatCrunch comes with MyStatLab so all students will have access to this.

The Association of Administrative Professionals (AAP) is a chartered, non-profit, Canadian association. We strive to provide administrative professionals with the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive by encouraging all members to add to their individual competencies, advance their leadership skills, realize their value in the workplace and community and have the confidence to excel in their careers.
The AAP offers the Canadian Certified Administrative Professional (CCAP) certificate and designation. The CCAP program is a certificate program for administrative professionals. In order to achieve the CCAP designation, candidates must meet all the following requirements:
Be an AAP member for at least one year.
Enroll in the CCAP program through AAP.
Provide verification that you possess a minimum of two years’ work experience in an administrative role
Provide verification that you also possess a good balance of the AAP core competencies, which are in the areas of business management, technology, leadership/organizational skills and communication/interpersonal skills.
Steps 1 through 4 must be completed and confirmed before proceeding to step 5, ensuring enrollment in the CCAP program. Apply to the Confederation College Canadian Certified Administrative Professionals program.
Complete seven courses at accredited universities and colleges across Canada, consisting of three compulsory courses and four elective courses. Members enrolled in the CCAP program may complete some or all of their requirements with Confederation College see the course list chart (PDF file) and register for courses via our secure online shopping cart.
CCAP graduates must complete a certification renewal process every three years, based on a credits system. Credits are awarded by completing professional development programs, attending AAP meetings and events, working in the administrative profession, community involvement and more. A total of 40 certification renewal credits must be accumulated in the three-year renewal period. This Program is designed for office professionals. CCAP courses are offered to administrative assistants, executive secretaries, and office managers, etc. who are interested in meeting the challenge of today’s demanding workforce.
19 years of age or older or
Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) with courses from the College (C), University (U), University/College (U/C), or Open (O) preparation levels
with Grade 12 English (E/C/U) Level.
or successful completion of the Mature Student Assessment.
or successful completion of the General Education Development Test (GED).
or appropriate credits from the Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) program - LBS level 5 Communications and LBS level 4 Mathematics.
