Program Overview

Evidence-based and Data-driven Decision-Making

Evidence-based and data-driven decision-making increasingly characterizes operational and funding decisions in the healthcare sector. As a result, there is a growing demand for employees with sound data analytic skills.

This program enables students to become proficient in the practices and techniques used in the employment of healthcare informatics. Students learn how to leverage health data, which anticipates and responds to organizations’ needs. They acquire skills to analyze quantitative and qualitative information to help facilitate healthcare delivery, patient safety and health, and decision-making within and across healthcare facilities and organizations. A focus on the blending of three skill areas—technical, inter-professional, and “soft” interpersonal skills—makes this program distinct.
